For use when manufacturing prints are unavailable.
Reverse engineering is taking apart an object to see how it works in order to duplicate or enhance the object. This is often done when users of old products want to maintain them, but find that the original supplier may no longer exist, or may have dropped support for the product. When manufacture prints are unavailable, a reverse engineering print can be made. Reverse engineering may also be needed if an old product is to work alongside, or within a new system.
